Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TrellisBee (the "Service"), operated by Saddle Data Inc. ("Saddle Data," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
TrellisBee is a tool for engineering managers that structures 1-on-1 meetings, tracks team blockers, and records skill progression, layered on top of Google Workspace.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. TrellisBee is intended for business use by managers and their teams. You're responsible for safeguarding your account and for anything that happens under it.
3. Google Workspace Integration
The Service uses Google Sign-In for authentication and, if you choose to connect it, read-only access to your Google Calendar to sync upcoming 1:1s. You can revoke this access at any time from your account settings or directly from your Google Account permissions. See ourPrivacy Policy for details on what we access and how we use it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts or data;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law.
5. Your Data
You own the data you and your team enter into TrellisBee (blockers, rubrics, assessments, and similar content). We process it only to provide the Service to you, as described in ourPrivacy Policy.
6. Fees
TrellisBee is currently offered free of charge during an early access period. If we introduce paid plans, we'll give you reasonable notice before any fees apply to your account.
7. Intellectual Property
Saddle Data owns the Service, including its software, design, and trademarks (including the TrellisBee name and logo). These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as intended.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, and we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you beforehand where practical.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saddle Data will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by updating the "Last updated" date above or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
